Women of the ELCA is open to all women of the congregation and others who are interested in the program. Participation is encouraged but not mandatory. Monthly meetings are held the third Thursday of the month and consist of a business meeting, a program put on by a Circle of WELCA officers, and lunch. There are many ways to participate, including but not limited to, attending monthly meetings, helping at special events, being a server or paying hostess, being on a committee, or joining a circle (a group of women who meet once a month for study, support, and inspiration.) As a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, our society, and the world.
